A long & complicated timeline of the royal bullying saga, Part 1
There are so many twists, turns, allegations, and counterclaims in this epic storyline that creating a timeline proved necessary. Sigh.
It’s been six years since the first allegations of bullying by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were made in the press. Since then, there has been a steady stream of claims and counterclaims about who bullied whom, as well as revelations in court filings, interviews, and a princely memoir.
It’s growing increasingly hard to keep track of who alleged what and when, especially as a report in 2021 may reference incidences that occurred three years earlier, so I’m creating this timeline, which I’ll update, as needed.
After days of steady work, I can pretty much guarantee two things:
It will be spread over multiple posts, thanks to Substack’s length limits and the ongoing nature of this story.
I’ll be tweaking this and other parts — adding new items, editing others, deleting some — so please check back for the latest change. I’m still sorting through what should be included and what’s extraneous, as some items, such as the start of that tale of “who made whom cry over a bridesmaid’s dress” seem to provide important context.
